Job Description:

A growing recruitment company that is looking for a Part time Financial Controller to take ownership of the Accounts – you will also be managing someone.

  1. Month end reporting
  • Finalising the month end transactions including; accruals, prepayments, journals
  • Reconciling Sage to the gross profit tracking system of the business
  • Preparing the Monthly Management Pack
  • Owning and updating the short term cashflow with income predications
  • Owning and updating the long term cashflow
  • Checking and approving all payments
  • Periodic KPI report preparation
  1. Monthly Payroll
  • Reviewing the Payroll input sheet and preparing calculations for submission to the Payroll Company
  • Checking the returned Payroll data, and following up on any discrepancies
  • Final sign off of monthly payroll
  • Liaising with HMRC, and answering queries
  • Preparation and submission of P11Ds and employer contributions
  1. Pensions – monthly
  • Submission of the auto-enrolment CSV file to Pension Provider
  • Liaising with the Company Pension Provider x 2
  1. Year end
  • Preparing the audit file and liaising with the auditors
  • Preparation of draft accounts using VT accounts
  • Check CT computations
  • Calculating PSA submissions, VAT returns
  • Completion of national statistic and salary surveys
  • Owning and managing the invoice factoring facility
  • Owning and updating the Gross Profit Tracker
  • Intermediary reporting – quarterly
  • Submission of annual return and other company house submissions
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Overseeing the duties of the bookkeeper and answering her day to day questions.
  • Answering the day to day questions from the Directors and employees, and advising them of potential business issues.
  • Arrange company insurances; DIS, PI, employment, public liability etc
  • Adhoc projects; office contracts, chairing management meetings, phone renewals

The Successful Applicant:

  • Fully AAT Qualified or Finalist in ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA
  • Happy to work 2 days a week
  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Less than 3 month notice period
