Job Description:


Care Lodge is dynamic, small business compromising primarily of residential care homes (adult and children) and a property development portfolio. This established organisation is based in South-West London with Head Office in Thames Ditton.

They are currently recruiting an HR coordinator to take responsibility for recruitment and HR support of this small and fast-growing organisation. They would work with directors and managers to operate efficient recruitment processes and support the management of day to day HR related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating recruitment and HR
  • Be primary point of contact for recruitment and HR in the Head Office of Reamcare and the care lodges (Acorn, Beech and Cherry).
  • Specifically managing email inbox, postal mail and phone calls ensuring all queries and requests are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner

  • Liaising with the management team to identify recruitment needs
  • Advertising jobs in various outlets and reviewing the performance of these adverts
  • Managing, collating and screening candidates
  • Arranging interviews for suitable candidates
  • Conducting phone interviews (if applicable)
  • Coordinating with managers and candidates to ensure that candidates are interviewed as quickly as possible
  • Liaising with managers to identify successful candidates
  • To be responsible for producing and distributing the relevant employment documents (offer letter, contract, job descritpion etc)
  • Being responsible for the prompt application of relevant employment checks (DBS, references)
  • Ensure there is a system in place for the tracking of successful applications through to employment
  • Liaising with successful candidates to ensure that they are updated with the progress of their application regularly
  • Collating information to create staff files, as dictated by relevant regulations (CQC/Ofsted), and distributing these files accordingly
  • Continuing to support managers and any new employees during the induction/probation period
  • Reviewing recruitment processes and working with the management team to continually improve on the quality of new staff and the efficiency with which they are recruited.
  • Work with managers to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Work with the management team to develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems and procedures across the organisation
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and support a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Liaising with the management team to give guidance on how to manage HR issues in accordance with company policy and current legislation
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Supporting and coordinating any HR processes where necessary by attending formal meetings, taking minutes, creating and distributing formal documents
  • Maintaining staff records so that they are up to date at all times
  • Able to provide cover for office administrator duties when absent


Skills Required:

  • Strong organisation skills with high attention to detail
  • Self starting and able to show initiative to ensure the most effective and efficient processes are in place
  • Good communicator in a variety of formats
  • Professional, committed and reliable
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when dealing with sensitive matters
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office
  • Qualification in HR (CIPD) Preferable
