Job Description: 

Situated in NE Surrey, Esher College is an oversubscribed, open access sixth form college. The College is rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and has an impressive track record in delivering high levels of student achievement.

We are seeking to appoint additional members to our team of external invigilators for the forthcoming summer season of external examinations and beyond.

A commitment to be available to work throughout the exam period (15 May – 29 June, not including half term week 29 May – 3 June) is required, but invigilators are not expected to, or guaranteed, work every day.

The working hours are flexible dependent on the number and length of examinations taking place. They are organised into morning and/or afternoon sessions according to requirements with morning sessions starting by 8.15am. Ideally applicants would offer a minimum of five session’s availability per week.

Invigilators are paid at the rate of £9.75 per hour and paid via the College monthly payroll. Successful candidates will be required to sign up to the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) update service, the annual cost of which will be funded by the College.
